League of Legends Championship Series is back for 2018! With new lineups and a format now in line with the NA LCS, this season should be the most entertaining to watch yet.

After what has felt like and eternity of pre-season, LCS is back in a brand new format. As described by Riot;

“The European League of Legends Championship Series (EU LCS) is the preeminent League of Legends esports league in Europe. The LCS is comprised of 10 teams facing every other team twice over the course of the season, for a total of 18 matches each. Matches are played in a Best of 1 format, with each team playing once per day. The competition stretches across two splits, Spring and Summer.”

Week 1 has the teams in far closer standings than the NA LCS. With all teams going 1-1 bar Team Vitality going 2-0, and Unicorns of Love dropping both games to go 0-0.
