It has been on the cards now for some time with Scarlett Johansson seemingly open to the idea of a solo Black Widow movie. As if the Marvel Cinematic Universe couldn’t bring any more awesomeness to films, it looks likely this is going to happen.
The Black Widow movie has been speculated, discussed and demanded by fans for years ever since her first appearance in Iron Man 2. But today we find out that this idea has moved a step in the right direction.
Marvel President Kevin Feige has said to have met up with numerous screenwriters before consulting and hiring Jac Schaeffer alongside Scarlett Johansson. Schaeffer is unknown to the mainstream fans and film community but has experience as writer and producer of TiMER, a fantasy comedy. This will be a huge project for Schaeffer and hopefully, one that will bring an already huge fanbase with her as she progresses.
Schaeffer is making a name for herself currently within pre-production of the Dirty Rotten Scoundrels reboot ‘Nasty Woman’, starring Anne Hathaway and Rebel Wilson. Either way, a solo Black Widow movie is something fans have wanted and hopefully will get in the coming years. For now, we just need to look forward to Black Panther, Spiderman 2, Guardians of the Galaxy 3, Ant-Man and the Wasp, Avengers: Infinity War, Doctor Doom.
