Flying Tigers: Shadows Over China today received it’s Xbox One release date. Developer Ace Maddox confirmed that their air-combat action game which is said to based on the events of America’s ‘secret’ volunteer squadrons that helped defend their ally China during World War 2.

The international release on the Xbox One has been slated for January 12th, 2018, and is available for pre-order from the Xbox Store now.

Flying Tigers is both developed and self-published by Ace Maddox and comes to the Xbox platform courtesy of Microsoft’s ID@Xbox program and is impressively launching in 11 languages: English, Spanish, French, Polish, German, Portuguese-Brazil, Chinese (simplified and traditional), Russian, Italian, Turkish, and Japanese.

Flying Tigers: Shadows Over China or FTSOC as it’s also known showcases the aerial campaigns that played a part in defending Southeast Asia in the China-Burma-India Theatre of World War 2. The Flying Tigers were secretly recruited by President Roosevelt’s administration before the US officially entered WW2 following the Attack on Pearl Harbor, the “Flying Tigers” were officially known as the 1st American Volunteer Group (AVG) and consisted of three pursuit squadrons with only 99 P-40 fighters.
