Today Sedesco’s indie adventure racing game Defunct reached the finish line! The game is out now for Xbox One.

The PlayStation®4 version is taking a small holiday break, and comes out in January 2018. A Windows 10 version is also coming out later and the game will be available as an Xbox Play Anywhere title across the entire Xbox One family of devices, including Xbox One X and Windows 10.

You can check out the trailer below.

After Defunct’s Steam release, many players compared its gameplay to that of many games in the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise. Players experience Defunct’s flow and gravity based gameplay to be one of the drawing points.

To us the game looks appealing, its bright and colourful with its cell shaded “Fortnite-esque” visuals, with a good selection of tracks, each with a very different setting and timbre, the game looks to be ticking all the boxes of a solid arcade racer.

Featuring high speed, Gravity driven racing you compete through multiple biomes and tracks to complete challenges and unlock new cosmetic items for your characters while indulging in some crazy tricks along the way.

We’ll have a review up once we’ve spent a bit of time with the game.
